On 2/11 the NIWC Celebrated with it’s usual double events!!! There was a beautiful walk around part of Lake Harriet! There were 9 Wolfhounds and the youngest was a sweet 5 month old puppy Penelope! Penny did a great and impressive job keeping up with the older pups. And as usual we memorialized the walk with pictures at South Beach!
Chaos on arrival at Venn Brewing!
The second part of the event was our wonderful Valentine’s Day party at Venn Brewing in Minneapolis! We can’t thank Venn enough for how welcoming they have been to our Club. They even put notices on the tables reserving our usual spot! This time there was a peanut butter cake from 3 Dog Bakery in Apple Valley. There were 12 gorgeous Wolfhounds and they snarfed down their cake so fast there wasn’t even a crumb in sight within seconds!!! Although there may have been some licking of the roof of the mouth involved afterward! We were all so pleased to see Toni Maat bring 3 Wolfhounds, Adrian brought Finley. Of course, Patrick and Sydney brought Nagini and Lucius, Lynn Simon brought 2 of his pups, Marcia brought Heart and Soul. David and Nancy brought Soul’s crush, Phrank and our youngest pup Penelope (aka Penny), although she did seem a bit tuckered out. Except when it came to the dog cake, of course! Everyone had a great time, and our next 2 events were widely discussed. On Saturday March 16th, the NIWC will be marching with their beloved Irish Wolfhounds in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in St. Paul, MN. The next day on March 17th, thanks to Toni Maat there will be an Irish Wolfhound meet and greet event at the Mall of America! We will be posting more information about these 2 events later.
